This year we stayed in Carlsbad for the holiday. David made me breakfast in bed and let me sleep in until whenever I wanted! I also didn't have to do any "mother" duties for the day, which made for a nice restful birthday! During the day, we played in our little turtle pool, decorated cookies, and then went to Pat & Oscars for dinner. Aunt Jaclyn came with us to dinner and to the fireworks at Legoland. I think the coolest part of the day was seeing a wild owl in the trees staring at us upside down! It was amazing (a little freaky too). Clark loved the fireworks, he informed us he wanted to see a pink and yellow one with dots, and we saw one! He kept telling me that he was scared and that they were too loud, but he loved them anyways! :)
