New Calling

First of all, I have to say, I'm sad that I am leaving my old calling as Sunbeam teacher.  We got into a routine and church was extremely entertaining.  Clark and David would join me in Sunday school and listen to the lesson.  Clark really enjoyed trying to coax the kids out of there snacks and crafts that they made. It was fun to see my hubby and baby all 3 hours of church!  Now, things are changing, and I'm excited for my new calling.  I still get to see my little Sunbeams, but in a different setting.  On Sunday, I got called to be the 2nd Counselor in the Primary Presidency.  It was exciting to get the call and we've already had our first meeting.  I feel really good about it, and am excited to learn more about Primary (I was only in it for 2 months before this, I've had RS callings since I was 18!).  I also work with awesome chicks, and I know we'll have a great time.  If any of you have any great ideas for primary let me know, I would love to hear about what you do in your wards!   I'm excited to teach my first sharing time, as well as plan my first activity.  This is going to be lots of fun!

As for Clark and daddy, they'll be on there own the next few weeks at church until Clark FINALLY goes into nursery, which happens to be one of my assignments (yep, now I can check on him whenever I want! :)).  I have been a bit apprehensive about Clark in nursery but this makes me feel a bit better!

I'm glad to hear you guys are still planning on moving back to Provo ... I wasn't sure if it was still in your future or not. I wish you would just hurry up and move already. We need friends ... most of ours have moved away. I guess that's what happens when you go to a student ward. Anyways we are still planning on visiting you guys this summer ...probably in June but we'll let you know as it gets closer.

Hey that is so exciting! Well I have been in Primary as the Chorister but I have seen a few cute things like the spotlight (our primary actually turns out the lights and reads Matthew about letting our light shine, and shines a flashlight on the person when it is announced) Kinda cute. They do a cute thing for the kids when they do the eight is great fireside. Our primary president makes goodie bags with white towels, and a ribbon with a CTR Ring and a Baptism scripture attached. Very cute. I guess if you wanted more ideas I could come up with some, but it would take forever! Hahaha! Congrats! Love the splish splash post too! Clark looks like so much fun to have around!

Awesome! I am the 1st Counselor in Primary in my ward and have been for over 3 years now. I LOVE IT!!! I think it's the best calling ever, and I would totally cry if I got released. Do you have a big primary? You will love it. If you have any questions or need ideas I'm totally here for you...although I'm not over scouts or nursery, so I'm not much help in those areas. Good luck. You'll be awesome!
