It was my friend's daughters birthday this week and she wanted an Elmo cake. This is what I came up with, I think I did a little too much decorating. Plus, did you know the color red tastes horribly? I made a perfect Elmo red and it was so nasty! I couldn't put it on the cake, so instead I used Cherry juice(from Marashino cherries) to make it pink, a little bit of red food coloring to make it a darker pink and then added kool aid (mix with a few drops of water before you put it in the frosting, too much will thin the icing and you don't want that!). It actually tasted sweet and sour like candy! David really liked the taste, which is amazing, he usually hates frosting! Here it is...

That is amazing! Idon't think the its looks too decorated I think it looks perfect. That trick with the frosting is so cool. i'll have to try to remember it
