Yesterday I had an "oh my" moment of how truly blessed our little family has been. I belong to a group that gives away things for free (to help the environment) and was shocked at how generous a total stranger could be! I received notice that someone was giving away unopened packages of baby food and thought our family could benefit from it, so I contacted her. I went to pick up the food and to my surprise, there was 60+ dollars of baby food there for little Clark. It was amazing! It made me realize how lucky and blessed we are to have wonderful family, friends and even strangers looking out for us!
I know everyone has been tightening their belts due to the economy slump, and that certainly is the definition of our family, but yet we have seen such generosity from everyone that has crossed our path. Whether it be getting clipped coupons for diapers in our mailbox because someone was thinking of us, feeding our family every week, giving me an ample supply of maternity clothes to wear, or letting Clark enjoy toys and equipment that he would have never been able to because of the expense, I have realized that WE ARE SO BLESSED! Obviously, there are numerous other examples that I didn't mention, but don't think we are not grateful, we are! We are lucky to have wonderful family and friends that watch over us every day. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
P.S. I am waiting one more day to put the blog on private, so please contact me if you still want to see the blog if you haven't!

It's so true... it almost seems like when people have little they give more because I've noticed more generousity lately too even though the economy hasn't really effected us financially yet... I've been lucky to retain my job and since we were living off student loans to begin with we haven't noticed much of a difference (fingers crossed) but I know so many of our friends have. There must be something to it because it seems to be true across the world ... people who have little always seem to give the most! I think going through financial difficulties ourselves also makes us more aware of others.
do you have mine? i hope so
just click on my name, and I think it might give you my e-mail.
PS if you run across anyone giving away a bassinet or a crib, take it. My Michelle could use both.

I love hearing that you guys are being taken care of! We too have been blessed in these economic times. While it seems everything is going wrong, we have always been able to have what we need. Tithing has been such a blessing in our lives!
